To achieve the maximum profit it is vital that you have up to date and accurate financial data. This allows you make sure your customers pay on time, that you only buy stock when you need it so you don't tie money up unnecessarily, and that you are in control of your cash-flow so you don't pay unnecessary bank charges and interest, and also so you know what liabilities you have coming, like VAT and tax so you can ensure they can be paid on time.

As an up to date modern practice we embrace all the new technology and processes that help do this, such as the new generation of cloud based accounting packages. These have a useful dashboard to show at a glance the bank balance, how much you owe suppliers and what customers owe you, along with a provision for VAT, PAYE and business tax due to date.

These can be viewed by both of us simultaneously, any time of day, from wherever we are - all that is needed is an internet connection and a device to access it, whether that be a computer, a tablet or smartphone - so that queries can be dealt with quickly and efficiently before they become issues.

Our preferred applications are IRIS Openbooks (also known as FreeAgent) for the simpler, smaller accounts or KashFlow for the larger and more complex users, although we will support any other system you may be using, such as Xero, Sage One, Quickbooks Online and Clear Books.

Both our preferred alternatives allow bank feeds to be set so your banking information can be fed directly in to your book-keeping application which can save time in data entry allowing you to get on with managing and growing your business.

We can of course deal with traditional desk based programmes such as SAGE 50, Quickbooks etc.

Our main concern is that you use a system you are happy with and that it can give you accurate timely data to help run your business, and of course maximise your profits.
